2021 Equine-facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) Scholarship Opportunities
May is Mental Health Awareness Month – and while we do our best to celebrate mental health awareness every day – it is the perfect opportunity for us to launch this news... we are offering TWO fully-paid scholarships for new clients to receive a 12-session Equine-facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) package during our Summer Semester (June 7 through August 29)!
If you know of someone who might be interested in experiencing EFP firsthand, but has not been able to, please feel free to send these details along! There will be NO COST to these clients to participate, however they must meet our criteria and availability. Scholarship recipients will be decided by our clinical team. At this time there are two scholarships available.
Criteria/eligibility:
Adult (18+)
No acute contraindications for this work
Availability on Mondays and/or Wednesdays

A brief phone interview with our Clinical Director will be required following submission of eligible applications.
No prior horse experience is necessary. Please note: EFP is not a riding program.
Scholarship recipients will receive:
12 Equine-facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) sessions at Equuvation's Therapy + Education Center in Statesville, NC
Discounted fees to continue in sessions beyond the 12-session package if desired; and/or opportunity to apply for additional scholarships
Value of scholarship: $1800

EFP and EAL sessions are offered by our team of licensed, clinical professionals and educators, in partnership with ESMHLs (Equine Specialists).
We utilize Simple Practice to manage all client files/sessions
[HIPAA compliant]; and our support staff signs confidentiality agreements.
Equuvation Inc. is a Member Center of PATH Intl. – Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International; and is home to two PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors and Equine Specialists in Mental Health and Learning [ESMHL]; and one PATH Instructor-in-Training.
